Emilie & Jake | engaged

sometimes you’re lucky enough to find the love of your life early on, just like i was.

Emilie and Jake are that lucky.

it’s difficult to write a blog post about your own child, without making them out to sound like they are the smartest, most adorable and best kid in the whole entire world.

Emilie is that wonderful, and more (just putting that out there).

Jake has been part of our world since the day he was born, and we’re thrilled to have such a fantabulous (i like to make up adjectives) young man marrying our little girl.

as i mentioned last week, in my sneak peek from this session, we had planned to take engagement photos in North Carolina, during our annual holiday to the Outer Banks (Cape Hatteras). our 2 week holiday was cut short though, and we were evacuated after only 4 days due to Hurricane Irene. it SUCKED!!! the night we were told about the evacuation (which was to be the next morning) we quickly got out to the beach with only about 1/2 hour of good sunlight left, and rushed to get some beach engagement photos done.

i love these two people with all of my heart, and i am so proud of the young adults that they have become.

these two lovebirds will be getting married closer to home next summer, here in Kingsville. it’s going to be lovely.

where’s the kleenex?
