i don’t normally photograph too many portrait sessions, because my wedding work is definitely a full time job, but lately i’ve been blessed to have the opportunity to try my hand at a few less formal and different types of photography.
Jamie-Lynn is graduating from high school this year, and not only is she one of the most genuine and sweetest young ladies that i know, but she’s also one of my daughter’s dearest friends in the whole entire world.
Jamie-Lynn and my daughter Emilie became friends in what i think was grade 5, but it could have been grade 6, i can’t remember to tell you the truth. it doesn’t matter much, because it’s been quite a while and one year give or take is not much of an issue.
i am currently photographing my daughter and her friends’ senior photos, since they are all graduating and heading in different directions in life. i can’t believe that all of these beautiful ladies are leaving to start lives elsewhere. it’s a strange and exiting chapter in all of their lives.
Jamie-Lynn is as adorable as she looks, and with a heart as big as the moon. she’s filled with a love for the people around her, a heart for her family and friends, and a love for God that’s amazing to witness. i have no doubt she will make a fantastic nurse, as well as a wonderful wife and mother someday.
as Jamie heads off to the University of Western Ontario and Fanshawe college, i want her to know that our door is always open. we will continue to have big laughs in this house, talk about topics that stretch us and sometimes make us blush, and you’re welcome to join in at any time. you are like a daughter to Darryl and i, and we’re so proud of the woman that you’ve become.
