while i was away in Roatan, i received a lovely email from Martina, asking if i might be available to take some family photos for her. you see, Martina’s mother has been working hard these last two years, working to keep healthy and beat the cancer that had settled into her body. Martina thought it would a great time for a few portraits.
now, to take you back a few months…… in February i wrote a blog post about wanting to bless families that are struggling with illness.
i wanted to bless families with a free portrait session.
Martina hadn’t read that blog post, so i let her know that i’d be happy to take photos for her, as my gift. i’ve been thinking of how i wanted to word this blog post, since i truly wanted to say something to Martina’s mom, Roseanne.
here it goes.
Dear Roseanne, Thank you for allowing me the chance to photograph your beautiful family. You have two of the most gorgeous daughter’s I’ve ever met, and a husband that loves you deeply (you can see it in his eyes). It was so much fun to hear the stories of how you met and married those 30 years ago, and your anniversary trip to Italy sounds exquisite and wonderful!! I hope you’ve been planning it and will get it booked soon!! I could tell that you have a mother’s heart, as do I, and your daughters are truly blessed to have the perfect example of grace and strength in their lives through you. Thank you for letting me into your life, even though it was only for an hour or so. I will continue to pray for healing and strength as you get back to enjoying life once again. Yours truly, Micheleif you know of someone in your life that could use some family portraits, as they struggle through illness, please get in touch and we can talk about getting some memories made! For The Love sessions are free , and include a session time with me and a DVD of photos.
