a few weeks ago, i took a foggy drive to Blenheim, searched for a little hair salon called Noggins, parked the car, and heading in to meet Adriana for the very first time. she was already put together with curls on the top of her head, and i was there to document the rest of her wedding day.
Adriana & Ed live in Yellowknife NWT, and other than a very short phone conversation and a few emails, i hadn’t had the chance to get to know these two very well before their wedding day.
beautiful people, lovely and down to earth family, and a fabulous vineyard location by the shores of Lake Erie.
that was Ed & Adriana’s wedding day.
most of the day was filled with joy and delight, as friends and family gathered to celebrate together, dance, eat and have a great time. there was but one moment during the day that was a time for reflection and sorrow, and that was the time that Adriana’s family released green balloons. Adriana’s brother passed away a few months before the wedding, so she chose to release lime green balloons in his honour, surrounded by family, at her childhood home. it was a moment that i was privileged to be a part of.
Adriana & Ed, i know you live far away, but i also know that you must feel the enormous amount of love that your family has for you, even though they are miles and miles away. through stories and laughter on your wedding day, i witnessed this love first hand. you are truly blessed.
